2. Principles
We only process personal data to the extent necessary to provide this website and handle your request, based on the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). There is no automated decision-making or profiling.
3. Hosting, server log files and encryption
This website is hosted by Render Services, Inc., San Francisco (USA). When you visit the website, technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, page visited, browser type, operating system, referrer URL) is processed in server log files to ensure secure and stable operation. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are deleted automatically after a short period. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with the hosting provider. As the provider is based in the USA, any transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 45, 46 GDPR).
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption, recognisable by “https://” and the padlock icon in your browser’s address bar.
4. No cookies, no tracking, no external content
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services. Fonts, images and all other files are loaded exclusively from our own server – no data is sent to third parties such as Google Fonts or image libraries. We also do not store any data in your browser’s local storage.
Google reviews: The reviews from our Google Business Profile are retrieved via the Google Places API when the website is built and delivered as text from our own server. Visiting our website does not send any data to Google. Only when you click “Write a review” or a link to Google do you leave our website; Google’s privacy policy then applies (policies.google.com/privacy).
5. Request app
Our request app (on the home page and at /en/app/) runs entirely in your browser. Your entries (e.g. type of property, size, postcode/city, name and phone number) as well as videos or photos you record or select in the app are neither sent to our server nor stored. Only when you tap “Send via WhatsApp” is a message created from your details and WhatsApp opened (see section 7). If you selected a video or photos, your device’s share menu opens (where supported) and you decide yourself which app (e.g. WhatsApp) receives the files. The app only accesses the camera after your permission. The message is only transmitted when you send it there yourself. If you close the page beforehand, your entries are discarded.
6. Installing as an app (home screen)
You can save the request app to your device’s home screen via your browser. This only creates a shortcut with an icon; no additional data is collected, no push notifications are sent and no data is stored on your device. You can remove the shortcut at any time like any other app.
7. Contact via WhatsApp
When you click a WhatsApp button or send a request via the app, WhatsApp (provider: WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland, part of the Meta group) opens with a pre-filled message. Your details are only transmitted when you send the message yourself. WhatsApp also processes data such as your phone number and metadata; a transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out and is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We use your details solely to handle your request and prepare a quote (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). More information: WhatsApp privacy policy. If you prefer not to use WhatsApp, you can always reach us by phone.
8. Contact by phone
When you call us, we process your phone number and the information from the call to handle your request and prepare a quote (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
9. Survey and order
For the survey, quote and clearance we process the necessary data (e.g. name, property address, contact details, photos or videos of the property if you send any) to take pre-contractual steps or perform the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Documents, photos and personal items found during a clearance are set aside and handed over to you – they are not examined.
10. Retention period
Requests that do not lead to an order are deleted once completed, at the latest after 6 months. Order data is kept for as long as statutory retention obligations apply (usually 6 or 10 years under § 257 HGB and § 147 AO) and deleted afterwards.
11. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. Simply contact us by phone or email.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the German federal state where you live or where our company is based.
